Swimmer Responsibilities

  1. Follow Rules:  Follow all pool rules and team codes of conduct at all times.
  2. Respect:  Show respect for yourself, your teammates, and your coaches. Always listen to and follow coaches’ directions.
  3. Practice Commitment:  Arrive on time for practice and remain until the end unless excused by a coach.
  4. Positive Attitude:  Come to practice and meets with a willingness to learn and improve.
  5. Behavior Expectations:  Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
  6. Language:  Use appropriate language at all times.
  7. Meet Arrival:  Arrive at dual meets at least 15 minutes prior to warm-ups and check in promptly.
  8. Bullpen Expectations:  Remain in the bullpen area during meets unless you notify a bullpen parent volunteer. Volunteers are not responsible for locating swimmers outside the bullpen.
  9. Bullpen Rules  While in the bullpen:
    • No running
    • No horseplay
    • No water guns
    • No guests
  10. Do not leave a meet early without checking with both the coach and a bullpen parent volunteer.
  11. Leadership:  Older swimmers are expected to set a positive example for younger teammates.
  12. Team Spirit:  Encourage and support your teammates.
  13. Effort & Improvement:  Whether you win or lose, always give your best effort and strive to improve your personal performance.

Disciplinary Policy

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all swimmers, disruptive behavior during practices or meets will not be tolerated and may result in temporary or permanent removal from the team.

Swimmers (and parents, if present) will receive warnings before disciplinary action is taken. Warnings may be given verbally or in writing.

In cases of permanent removal due to disciplinary reasons, swim team fees are non-refundable.
